Be Open From The Center
We face the task of loving our world and one another back into wholeness. We can only do that if we learn to be open from the center. Desmond Tutu said, “My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.”

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
Not only has the Goddess spoken, but all her various aspects have spoken as well….the Goddess of death and destruction, the Goddess of goodness and love, the Goddess of fertility and abundance, the Goddess of wisdom, the Goddess of food and healing, the Goddess of dance and song. And the Goddess of power and revolution is beginning to rise. Yes, the force of the Divine Feminine has encompassed planet Earth.
There are some things I am beginning to know with riveting clarity as this virus works its way over the land. “Beginning to know” are the operative words.
We have not been here before
Everything feels completely different for a reason—it is. These times have been predicted as part of the dismantling of the old systems. Here on planet Earth, we are called to a very different and high-level embodiment of trust in a larger reality based on deep connection and love. Old realities, timelines and attachments are falling away as we face the uncharted territory ahead.
When I read such inspiring words, I find the strength to continue to choose love and the continuous presence that love asks of me. Some days it simply isn’t easy, and I have learned to take the quiet moment to open a cherished book, or pull an oracle card from the many decks I’ve accumulated over the years.
As a couple’s therapist, I have seen the destructive ravages of women unsconsciously wielding excessive Kali energy in their relationships and with their children. The operative word when working with such powerful energies is “conscious”—is the energy being expressed conscious or not? The powerful Kali is not only deeply transformative, but extraordinarily loving, and able to bring an end to things that need to be destroyed for the sake of evolution. In her book, Awakening to Kali: The Goddess of Radical Transformation , Sally Kempton says “Whether Kali seems terrifying, fascinating, or loving depends on our state of consciousness and our level of both emotional and spiritual development. But she always invites us to a radical form ego-transcendence.”
What is this powerful love that doesn’t require us to do anything, or be anything other than who we are, in all our messy glory? The closest thing on earth would be a mother’s love of her child, and it is a love some have had, and others not, but that we all both need and long for. It is the gift of deep acceptance for who we are.
