“Fear binders the free vibration of the life through the body by paralyzing the life-force which is in it. To fear is to lessen our spirit’s hold on its godhood. To fear is to lose confidence in the power of your own spirit to hold you and to keep you in perfect harmony. To fear is to weaken your spirit’s hold on its supply — God. To fear is to place yourself as a servant to all those things that are beneath you.” Elizabeth Deuress

In this week’s video blog (vlog) I will be addressing the various archetypes that can easily show up in your life and business, and keep you from attracting the clients and income you want.

After over 25 years of helping women claim their worth, I have seen the same patterns over and over again.  My love of Jungian Depth Psychology has merged with my love of business to create some characters that ever one of you will recognize in yourself or others.  These are shadow aspects of your personality that keep you stuck in fear and cause you to weaken your spirit’s hold on its supply.

We develop these sub-personalities to help us adapt to the environment we grow up in, because at some point, each of us experiences a wounding.   The “sacred wound” is an injury (physical, mental, or emotional) sustained in everyday life which we use as evidence of our unworthiness but later transform into an access point or portal to our essential goodness. The healing occurs once we shift perspective from ordinary wound to sacred wound.

Every one of the archetypes has what I call the anti-dote or restorative balm, as well as the powerful positive quality that is available once the restorative balm is applied. The restorative balm is always a form of self love.

When that shift takes place, we can make choices that come from our Sovereign Self, that aspect of who we are that is whole, grounded and comes from love.  The shift is made possible when a specific form of love is applied to the wound.

Creating and running a business from the Successful Sovereign infuses your business with a power that causes you to become a magnet for the success and money you want.  The love is already there.  You are no longer attempting to get a twisted form of love from money or success.

Over the next several weeks, I will be creating a video each week to speak about these sub-personalities who end up being various expressions of the archetype of the Saboteur.  I will also be speaking about what can lead to the transformation.

  • Prideless Prostitute who says yes when she needs to say no.
  •  Incredible Shrinking Woman who hides her gifts behind a product or a process.
  •  Merciless Judge who creates self-doubt by comparing to others.
  • Overwhelmed Superheroine who tried to do it all herself and drops the ball where it counts.
  •  Efficient Procrastinator who is busy as can be but fails to get the important stuff done.
  •  Brilliant Fool who is an expert at something she cannot articulate.
  • Starving Mystic who has taken vows of poverty that no longer serve
  • Obsessive Perfectionist who stalls and misses opportunities that could catapult her forward.
  • Grand Imposter whose outer trappings are bigger than her sense of self.
  • Tragic Bag lady who is doomed to hit rock bottom.
  • The Mindless Mother who can’t stop giving
  • The Endless Child, who takes no responsibility for any outcomes

At the center of all of these is the Successful Sovereign who knows her worth, and is a magnet for others who are inspired by her light.

Today I will speak about the first archetype, the Prideless Prostitute, since she seems to have stepped forth very prominently in my life lately.   She has certain qualites which you may recognize in yourself:

  • The tendency to say “yes” when she means “no.”
  • The tendency to feel resentful as she focuses on making others happy, at her own expense.
  • The choice for security over passion, which ends up being anything but security.
  • The belief that men and even other women have greater ability, success and happiness than she could ever have.
  • The tendency to stay too long in a loveless relationship for fear of making it on her own.
  • The tendency to stay too long in a dead-end job for fear of making it on her own.
  • Has very little creative outlet, since she is so busy pleasing others.
  • Carries a deep sense of shame inside for not living her truth.

The restorative balm for the Prideless Prostitute is the ability to be true to her own feelings and set boundaries and limits.  It means taking actions that lead to her reclaiming her own integrity, and thus restoring her sense of being sovereign in her own life.  This will give her back her integrity, and the ability to hold her head up high again, claiming her true worth

The powerful positive quality  that then emerges is the uncanny ability to know what others want.  She has spent so much time making others happy, that she can often use those skills in creating products and programs that she knows will be well-received.  She can raise her prices to reflect her worth, and attract ideal clients who want exactly what she has to offer.

Most women recognize some aspect of this archetype in themselves due to our intense conditioning.  This is changing in a big way now, and it is time.
